Douglas began training his acting and public lecturing skills in college, with a B.A..in Drama and English. In years of continuing independent studies, he filled his life with classes and lectures focused on parapsychology, meditation, life after death, ancient cultures, religions, an encyclopedic array of metaphysical subjects, and human energy work.

Besides his love of cabinet making, wood working, and theatrical set design and construction, Douglas has taught as a licensed instructor in public school systems,  run a private tutoring business, and spent over fifteen years as a teacher and public lecturer for a London based metaphysical research society following in the ancient mystery school traditions.

Douglas expresses his particular writing flavor in the genre of science fiction from this rich tapestry of references. His novels and short stories. Reflect research from his lifelong endeavor for knowledge and hands on experience  Douglas seeks in his writing to stretch the envelope of human perception with story themes encompassing conspiracy theory, the future of human development, major planetary changes, and unexplained phenomena of the Seen and the Unseen worlds.

Douglas has been an active member of the Henderson Writer's Group for almost ten years. He has three short stories as publishing credits, with a dozen more short stories and six novels awaiting publication.

Currently, Douglas's  first book of his latest science fiction- fantasy trilogy, “ The Luminous Eggs of Aryll 8, “ is now available in print and on Amazon. He continues to prepare his next works, a duo of time travel novels called the  “Tempis Fugits” Sagas, with which he will continue to launch his artist's platform of newly published works into the world.
